Two Interval Parameter Fuzzy Programming Models for Petroleum Solid Waste Management

This paper presents two interval parameter fuzzy programming models for the planning of petroleum solid waste management systems under uncertainty. In these models, fixed violation limits are introduced to relax the critical constraints so that the results produced by these models give more useful information to decision makers. These two models are also applied to a hypothetical planning problem of waste flow allocation and treatment/disposal facilities expansion. The results provide a number of decision alternatives under various system conditions. It is helpful for decision makers to make tradeoffs between system benefit and reliability.
